Hydros promote awareness of global environmental issues. On a recent trip to Iceland, we saw the real impact of global warming on the glaciers. Hydros used these images to highlight the issue in an online campaign. The images provided visual evidence of global warming. There were areas of Iceland that previously would have been covered in ice, but they were now slowly disappearing.

Billboards are generally used for advertising, or for passing on political messages. The location of billboards are chosen because of their high visibility and volume of viewers. The idea of these boards is to motivate people to achieve. As traditional printed boards, maybe for one day a month they could show one of these inspiring messages. For digital advertising boards, maybe for five minutes every hour they could show one of these messages instead?Art Direction, Graphic Design, Typography2012 -

This book is a continuation of my study into the visual impact of a symmetrical image.
The original images used for these artworks are photographs of light blurs, weathered paint, street lighting, industrial signs and equipment. They are everyday parts of the urban environment. When the symmetrical artwork is created by tiling the image, strange and beautiful compositions emerge from the textures and colours.Digital Art, Digital Imaging, Digital Photography2012 -
Samafal help families settle in the UK, by providing the necessary course to apply for citizenship. Its' services help those from all ethnic backgrounds, and it is based all over the UK.
The local community is very important to Samafal, and they also provide help with: help and advice in gaining employment, housing, information on reputable schools in the area, and legal advice.
The brief was to develop an interactive DVD that the students could use to aid them with learning English and about life in the UK. A website was also developed to provide information to local residents about courses and other details that can help them with employment and housing issues.Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Web Design2011 -
This project shows the inspiration that these places have provided me. I enjoy visiting different countries and seeing the different people, culture, landscape and architecture. I have been fortunate enough to have visited countries as different as India and Iceland, and cities such as New York and Marrakech.

During my time working for the volunteer organisation WF Iceland (Worldwide Friends Iceland), I was involved in fund raising activities. This included designing t-shirts to be sold in the shop. The designs were based on Icelandic runes that had meanings such as good health, good luck, healing and protection. These graphics were then printed on t-shirts to be sold in the shop. I was even involved with painting the interior and exterior of the shop! The t-shirts proved to be very popular with the local community and tourists, and provided a valuable income to the volunteer organisation.Graphic Design, Illustration2010 -
This book follows on from ideas shown in the previous Symmetry Series book. There is a continuation of the science fiction theme; with the idea that the artworks here could almost be part of a movie set.
The artworks included in this book use abstracts from photos of architectural constructions. Some of them use the smallest detail, whilst other images use larger details of buildings which are then reduced in scale for the final artwork.Digital Art, Digital Photography, Digital Imaging2012 -
Seed use wrought iron to create decorative products for the home and garden. They required an identity that represented the creativity and skill of their designs in a sophisticated way. Visual artists are often inspired and influenced by accidents and experiments - a piece of corroding material
could be the inspiration for a new design or piece of art. The images contained within this book are the results of corrosion, defacing, or error. The resultant images are light blurs, corroding materials, layers and collages that are new forms of ‘accidental art.’
For the layout of this book, the images are arranged on the page at angles, to represent the randomness in the
creation of the original images.

This typeface design is based around the process of creating a typeface by hand - in order to draw a circle or arc a compass point is left in the centre. This has then be used as a key feature of the design. I created medium and lightweight versions, and they are suitable for headline text.Typography, typeface2011 -

Symmetry brings to mind many things - perfection, balance, equality, order, authority, and uniformity. The artworks included in this book use abstracts from photos of architectural constructions. Some of them use the smallest detail which is scaled up to produce dramatic results, whilst other images use larger details of buildings which are then reduced in scale for the final artwork.

This artwork is a comment on the use of style over substance in the visual arts - in particular the current obsession with using 3D imagery in many mainstream movies. Style can be extremely effective when used appropriately, but it can often be used as a gimmick.Digital Art, Digital Photography, Photo Manipulation2011 -
